Abstract

In an era of evidence-based medicine, it is important to choose psycho-oncology treatments that are as efficacious as possible. Psychosocial cancer care that is ineffective may be worse than no care at all but timely and effective treatment may also improve medical outcomes. Population-based approaches such as Collaborative Care can be a helpful way to structure and deliver psycho-oncology care.
