Abstract

From the methanolic extract of Cestrum diurnum L. leaves, a new 9-norlignan glucoside (cestrumoside) (1) was isolated in addition to six known glycosides (2-7). The structures of the isolated compounds were determined on the bases of NMR spectral analysis (1H NMR, 13C NMR, HSQC, HMBC, COSY) in addition to MS and CD to infer the stereochemistry of the compounds. ©ARKAT USA, Inc.
