Abstract

Automatic error-detecting for Chinese text is one of the important issues in the field of Chinese Information Processing. The current study of text error-detecting focuses on words-level and syntactic-level, but semantic error-detecting has not got enough attention. For this reason, we studied semantic collocations of sentences, and built up a words dependency knowledge base; at meanwhile, combined with the description of concept of words in HowNet, we proposed a semantic error-detecting strategy for Chinese text. Experimental results show that this method has a better performance in semantic error-detecting. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
