Abstract

In many engineering control problems, the output measurements are discrete-time ones. In this paper, we show how we can design an observer synthesis for continuous-time affine systems using discrete time output measurements. In fact, we give sufficient conditions on both output sampling time and system input, which allow us to preserve the observability of the system and to design an exponential observer.
