Abstract

Despite continuous and significant improvements in the diagnosis and treatment of thoracic surgery patients, postoperative complications can be life-threatening. Therefore, the management of these patients can be very challenging. The aim of this chapter is to provide an overview of the most frequent early and late postoperative complications in thoracic surgery, focusing on the most frequent clinical signs, and currently recommended management strategies.
