Abstract

In this interview, Academy Award-winning film composer Dario Marianelli discusses his close working relationship with director Joe Wright, as well as his philosophical and aesthetic approaches to screen composition. In particular, he discusses the inherent opportunities, contradictions, and challenges of representing fictional truth in the films Atonement, The Soloist, and Anna Karenina.
