Abstract

Abstract: Spatial thingking ability is a person’s ability to see space as an object of phenomena. Spatial thingking has important role in geography learning to understand the geographic phenomena that occur, physical or social phenomena. The study aims to determine the effect of react on students’ spatial thingking abilities. The research subject was class student X SMAN 1 Tulungagung. Spasial thingking measurements were carried out essay test and analyzed with t-test. The result show that the gain score spatial thingking in experiment class 21,94 and control 18,53. The result hypotesis prove that (REACT) has positive influence on student’s spatial ability. Abstrak: Kemampuan berpikir spasial merupakan kemampuan seseorang dalam melihat sebuah ruang sebagai objek fenomena. Berpikir spasial mempunyai peran penting dalam pembelajaran Geografi untuk memahami fenomena-fenomena Geografi yang terjadi, baik itu fenomena fisik maupun fenomena sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh model REACT terhadap berpikir spasial siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 1 Tulungagung. Berpikir spasial diukur menggunakan tes esai dan dianalisis memakai uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai gain score berpikir spasial pada kelas eksperimen 21,94 dan kelas kontrol 18,53. Hasil uji hipotesis membuktikan bahwa (REACT) memiliki pengaruh terhadap berpikir spasial siswa SMA.
