Abstract

The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is a popular concept for performance measurement. The Linear programming (LP) is a mathematical technique for optimization of linear objective functions. The question is: "How to use LP for information system (IS) performances optimization (PO)?" Answer to this question is contained in this paper. The first step is a formalization of the IS and business performances relationship structure. The structure is designed in accordance withthe BSC concept. That will provide the application of LP for IS performances optimization.
