Abstract

The acupotentiograph is one of acupuncture device which specially designed to obtain electrical potential changing on body acupuncture point. Today's acupotentiograph (ID Patent's Number: IDP0030600) has been well developed and even it able to control measurements with six pairs of electrodes simultaneously. One of the weakness was it couldn't filter alternating curent noises. This project aims to develop acupotentiograph instrument by adding some filter modification (passive high pass filter, active high pass filter, active low pass filter) and instrument amplifier on attempt to optimize signal output with minimum noises signal. The result obtained was electrical potential profile as time domain function. Data analysis was carried by transforming electrical potential time domain into frequency domain by employing Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) method. The result showed acupotentiograph did improve its performance by removing some noises even not maximum though. Indeed, it proved from the measurement that acupotentiograph could distinguish electrical potentiograph for healthy and unhealthy condition among the samples. The non-healthy samples showed higher amplitude and frequency than healthy samples.
