Abstract

The present status of biomedical applications of pattern recognition and image processing in Japan is reviewed. Particular areas discussed, are processing of radioisotope images, thermogram images, X-ray images, cancer cell patterns, blood cell patterns, plaque patterns, chromosome patterns, vascular patterns, and ultrasonic patterns.
