Abstract

This paper presents a compact dual-band reconfigurable antenna. This antenna covers the Long-Term Evolution (LTE) bands 1.9 GHz, 2.4 GHz, and 3 GHz. The reconfigurability was achieved with two PIN-diodes which provided four switching states. Both frequency and radiation characteristics have consistent results. The antenna gain was evaluated at every switching state. Results from the simulation and measurements have good agreement.
