Abstract

Knowledge is considered as a main driver in today’s global economy. The enhanced role of knowledge and its effects on the global economy have changed the definition of technology. While technology was accepted as a commodity in the past, now, it is seen as a socioeconomic process depending on its knowledge content and effects (Rosenberg 1984).
