Abstract

In recent decades globalization has become a topic of utmost importance. Whilst world gross domestic product (GDP) grew at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.1% over the last 50 years, international trade has outmatched this trend with a CAGR of 7.7%. © 2006 Springer.
