KONSEPSI MUSYAWARAH DALAM SERAT KANCIL KRIDHAMARTANA JILID I SEBAGAI SUMBER NILAI BAGI PERILAKU BERDEMOKRASI PENYELENGGARA NEGARA

Abstract

. This research is aimed to explore on the value of musyawarah (deliberation) in Serat Kancil Kridhamartana volume I. This Serat is a version of the Serat Kancil manuscript written in the scope of Pakualaman tradition (palace). Through deeper exploration on this manuscript, at least we can find one of the noble values of our nation’s culture, namely musyawarah mufakat (deliberation and consensus) which can be used as a basis for democratic behavior of state administrators. Given that until now, the democratic behavior of our administering apparatus is still far from substantial democratic values. This research is a type of literature research using a philosophical research model, namely historical factual about the text. In the process of analyzing research data, the researcher used methodical elements, namely interpretation, idealism, comparison, and description. The results of this study describe that Kancil Kridhamartana volume I contains the value of deliberation and consensus /or to reach a consensus (musyawarah-mufakat) as a guide in solving every problem. Deliberation as a value as well as a procedure does not stand alone but is related to other values, namely the values of divinity, humanity, unity and justice. The values of deliberation (musyawarah) contained in Serat Kancil Kridhamartana volume I are very relevant as an ethical foundation for realizing better democratic behavior of state administrators.
