The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup is the biggest football event in the world and the most widely viewed sport event all over the globe. The championship has been awarded every 4 years, and in 2014 it was held in Brazil. In 2014, this major event took place in Brazil with 12 host cities, including São Paulo with the Itaquera Stadium which hosted 6 games including the opening match and had a capacity of over 63, 000 seats at the World Cup. In this chapter, we will discuss the organization of the FIFA Medical Service in São Paulo providing the structural, action plans and challenges involved in that mission.
