Abstract

The term Good Agriculture Practices or GAP is synonymous with sustainable farming practices that use a good farming principles approach. Comprehensive implementation of GAP is very difficult in an area or agricultural area. The GAP approach continues to be carried out even though it is not yet comprehensive to every agricultural area. Research on the application of the principles of GAP to farmers aims to intensify the principle of sustainable agriculture and also to know the extent of the farmers or agricultural entrepreneurs about the application of this GAP principle. In addition, to determine the effect on the expected value of the benefits of GAP for sustainable agriculture in farming, as well as the level of implementation, and the factors that influence it. Research Analysis of Coffee Production Systems using GAP aims to determine the extent to which coffee processing companies apply the principles of GAP which refers to the regulations of the agriculture ministry number 49/Permentan/OT.140/4/2014. The results showed that if Malabar Mountain Coffee applied GAP well to the production system they carried out, it could affect the production of coffee fruit produced. Indirectly, the application of GAP will make coffee plants healthier and more productive. By implementing GAP it will also make coffee plants last longer for years, this is certainly beneficial for the company because by having a healthy and sustainable plant in producing coffee fruit, it becomes a long-term investment for the company and will increase production power. Malabar Mountain Coffee will also produce a variety of agricultural products, both primary and processed, that are of high quality and hygienic and highly competitive.
