Abstract

This paper discusses the particular issues at the end of assembly line inspection of gearbox. This paper discusses various faults that incur during newly manufactured and assembled transmission system. Existing manual diagnostic technique that is applied for the end of assembly line inspection of transmission is also discussed. The paper presents the study of vibration-based approach to evaluate the process capability of gearbox inspection. The study is useful to propose the benchmark for accepting or rejecting the gearbox.
