Abstract

With the reform of low-altitude airspace, there will be a lot of room for development of ultralight general aircraft. However, it is difficult to accurately calculate weight of single-seat ultralight general aircraft in the past. This paper deduces a method for quickly calculating the takeoff weight in the general aircraft concept design stage, and combines the design data of some typical single-seat ultralight general aircraft to modify the coefficient of the formula. Thus the aircraft takeoff weight calculation formula can more accurately estimate the maximum takeoff weight of a single-seat ultralight aircraft. Taking a single-seat aircraft as an example, the effectiveness of the method is tested, and the error of the take-off weight calculation before and after the parameter correction are compared and analyzed. The calculation method and results have certain reference value.
