Proses pendidikan diperlukan adanya bimbingan, pembiasaan, keteladanan dari lingkungan sekitar sehingga diperlukan adanya penanaman karakter sopan santun sejak dini. Pengintegrasian pendidikan karakter pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak perlunya untuk memasukkan nilai-nilai karakter pada proses kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan mengaplikasikan pembiasaan, penanaman nilai, dan keteladanan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana penanaman karakter sopan santun yang dilakukan guru MI Inayatushshibyan 2 kota Banjarmasin terhadap peserta didik kelas 1. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Peneliti dalam penelitian kualitatif berperan sebagai instrument utama untuk pengumpulan data dan menghasilkan data dengan pedoman wawancara dan observasi. Wawancara yang dilakukan secara mendalam dapat memahami nilai-nilai yang tergambar, perilaku, dan ucapan yang dilakukan subjek penelitian melalui interaksi social Hasil penelitian ini melalui observasi dan wawancara dapat diketahui bahwa: (1) Penanaman karakter sopan santun di MI Inayatushshibyan 2 kota Banjarmasin pada kelas 1 melalui model role playing, dan metode keteladanan dan pembiasaan yang diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. (2) Kegiatan keseharian di sekolah guru telah menanamkan karakter sopan santun melalui indikator mengormati yang lebih tua, berkata sopan, dan 3 S (salam sopan santun). (3) Hambatan dihadapi guru dalam penanaman karakter sopan santun yaitu minimnya komunikasi guru dengan wali murid untuk mengehui perkembangan karakter siswa di rumah maupun di lingkungan masyarakat.AbstractThe education process requires guidance, habituation, and example from the surrounding environment so that it is necessary to instill good manners from an early age. Integrating character education in the Aqidah Morals subject requires including character values in the process of teaching and learning activities by applying habituation, instilling values, and example. The aim of this research is to find out how the character of good manners is cultivated by teachers at MI Inayatushshibyan 2 Banjarmasin city towards class 1 students. This research method uses descriptive qualitative with data collection using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Researchers in qualitative research act as the main instrument for collecting data and producing data using interview and observation guidelines. Interviews conducted in depth can understand the values depicted, behavior and speech made by research subjects through social interactions. The results of this research through observations and interviews can be seen that: (1) The cultivation of polite character at MI Inayatushshibyan 2 Banjarmasin city in the classroom 1 through role playing models, and exemplary and habituation methods that are applied in everyday life. (2) Teachers' daily activities at school have instilled the character of good manners through the indicators of respecting elders, speaking politely, and the 3 S (greeting, polite, smile). (3) The obstacle faced by teachers in cultivating polite character is the lack of communication between teachers and student parents to understand the development of students' character at home and in the community.
