Cuts are traumatic wounds that can heal well if there are no complications. The criteria for a cut wound are a wound that has just occurred, is sudden and has a fast healing time. This literature study aims to determine the effectiveness of extracts from various types of plants on wound healing in white rats. This study used a descriptive type of research by applying the literature review method. Turmeric rhizome (Curcuma domestica Val), kencur rhizome (Kamferia galanga L.), kitolod leaf (Isotoma iongiflora), biwa leaf (Eriobotrya japonica (Thunb.) Lindl), Beluntas leaf (Pluchea indica L), Kecombrang flower (Etlingera elatior) , and javanese bark (Lannea coromandelica) can provide effectiveness on wound healing in white rats with varying duration of healing and dosage of formulation from each journal. Extracts from kencur rhizome which have been proven to be the most effective in wound healing with the fastest wound healing time of 6 days, with an extract formulation dose of 15%, and kencur rhizome contain metabolites such as flavonoids, saponins, and essential oils that can accelerate the re-epithelialization process from cuts.
