This chapter examines the relevance and implications of contextual realities of the global south on the social work education and practice. It also questions the universalism in terms of conceiving the goals and objectives of social work profession and lack of critical insights into the capacities of social work profession to achieve the humongous objectives that it set for itself. Relevance of the pedagogy and methodologies of social work interventions at the micro-, meso-, and macro-level are also critically examined in this chapter.
