Hubungan Kepadatan Penduduk dengan Sebaran Kasus Covid-19 di Sumatera Barat

Abstract

COVID-19 telah menyebar di seluruh provinsi di Indonesia sejak Maret 2020, termasuk di Sumatera barat. Seluruh wilayah di Sumatera Barat telah terkonfirmasi kasus positif COVID-19 dengan kateogri risiko rendah, sedang, dan risiko tinggi. Kepadatan penduduk dinilai sebagai salah satu faktor penyebab penyebaran kasus COVID-19. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kepadatan penduduk dengan sebaran kasus COVID-19 di Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Data yang digunakan yaitu data sekunder yang didapatkan dari Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Sumatera Barat dan Badan Pusat Statistik Sumatera Barat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa kabupaten/kota dengan kasus COVID-19 terbanyak di Sumatera Barat yaitu Kota Padang (50%). Sedangkan kabupaten/kota dengan kepadatan penduduk paling tinggi yaitu Kota Bukittinggi (4759.09 jiwa/km2 ). Berdasarkan analisis statistic diketahui bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara kepadatan penduduk dengan sebaran kasus COVID-19 di Sumatera Barat (p-value: 0.720). Pembatasan kegiatan masyarakat serta penerapan protokol kesehatan harus selalu diperhatikan guna mencegah terjadinya penyebaran kasus COVID-19 di Sumatera Barat. All regions in Sumatera Barat have confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 with low, medium and high risk categories. Population density is considered one of the factors causing the spread of COVID-19 cases. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between population density and the distribution of COVID-19 cases in Sumatera Barat. This research is a quantitative research with a Geographic Information System (GIS) approach. The data used are secondary data obtained from the Sumatera Barat Provincial Health Office and the Central Statistics Agency of Sumatera Barat. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the district/city with the most COVID-19 cases in Sumatera Barat is Padang (50%). Meanwhile, the regency/city with the highest population density is Bukittinggi (4759.09 people/sq2). Based on statistical analysis, it is known that there is no significant relationship between population density and the distribution of COVID-19 cases in Sumatera Barat (p-value: 0.720). Restrictions on community activities and the application of health protocols must always be considered in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 cases in Sumatera Barat.
