Abstract

Let us consider a real scalar-valued function f (A1, A2, …, Al) of second-order tensors Aκ ∈ Linn (k=1,2,…, l). The function f is said to be isotropic if f (QA1QT, QA2QT, …, QAlQT) = f (A1,A2, …, Al), ∀Q ∈ Orthn.
