Abstract

Service creation is the next big end-user driven hype in the technology arena. As the first Web 2.0 services are already enabling tech-inclined users to build their own composite services, this trend will lead to a huge set of new features and services will be provided by all stakeholders. This paper illustrates the incoming trends of the end-user driven service creation with extensive new features, and provides five main research topics from both technical and business perspective. The underlying key technologies, as well as the current platforms/ tools are also detailed. © 2009 Institute for Computer Sciences, Social-Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.
