Abstract

Published data on the inherent radiosensitivity of human tumour cellshas been analysed in order to reexamine the relationship betweenthe initial slope of the cell survival curve and clinical radioresponsiveness.A clear positive correlation between these parameters is demonstrated. The surviving fraction at 2 Gy is shown to give good discriminationbetween resistant and sensitive tumour types.
