Abstract

Permenkes No.269 of 2008 Article 8 Paragraph 1 states that the patient's medical record is kept for at least 5 years from the date of the last patient's treatment or repatriation. The purpose of this study is to describe the factors causing retention delay. The type of this research is descriptive survey with cross sectional approach. Data collection in this study used interview with filing officer, questionnaire, and observation. Data analysis techniques used in this study using descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the results of research in hospitals dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri Regency there are 3 people filing officer and only 1 person who educational background DIII RMIK. Insufficient retention infrastructure facilities such as Archive Retention Schedule that have not been made and no shelf storage of inactive medical record. We recommend that the hospital conduct training for non-medical record-keeping fileds and health information to better understand the implementation of retention. Hospitals also need to quickly create an archive retention schedule in order to have a regular schedule for retention.
