Abstract

The green technology spillover (GTS) is conducive to follower's innovation opportunities but harmful to pioneer's innovation advantages. Based on the knowledge production function and the panel data of cities in China, this paper discusses the effects of GTS on the relationship between the low carbon regulation (LCR) and the green technology innovation (GTI) by using the Spatial Durbin Model. We found that LCR makes a decrease-increase effect of the pioneer's GTI different from an increase-decrease effect of the follower's GTI.
