This paper presents a planning-based framework for services composition. Workflow technology is used to abstract business process. Then a hybrid algorithm based on Hierarchical Task Network (HTN) planning and partial order planning (POP) is developed to do service planning through which each task of workflow becomes concrete. Furthermore a semantic type-matching algorithm is introduced to matching actions of plan to suitable operations of web services. Compared with other service composition methods, this system can deal with complex business process efficiently, possesses good executable ability and can satisfy the need of dynamic business process application.
