Abstract

The challenges of implementing ABET 2000 outcome assessment of a sophomore-level digital systems course taught at two substantially different institutions - Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania - are documented in this report. First, the course is described along with the desired set of outcomes. Next, the instruments used to assess and remediate each outcome are briefly described. Finally, the percentage of students who were able to successfully demonstrate each outcome using the various instruments is documented.
