Abstract

One Anastomosis/Mini Gastric Bypass (OAGB-MGB) is an established procedure recognized by the International Federation of Society of Surgeons (IFSO). It is associated with significant improvements in obesityrelated comorbidities, including type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), hypertension (HT), obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and cardiovascularrelated disease. In this chapter we will discuss metabolic syndrome, analyze obesity-related comorbidities in more detail, and summarize the reported literature in relation to the outcomes of these comorbidities after OAGBMGB.
