The main need for the early childhood learning process is reading skills. Observation of case study results in SD. Klopo Sawit, Build Kerto Sleman. Learning methods and the use of learning media are not quite right so that students still have difficulty reading and are lazy to learn. The purpose of this study is to help students become skilled in reading. The research method uses class action and uses Android-based applications without spelling. This application combines play and learning activities with research subjects in grades 1 and 2 with correspondence of 48 students. The Likert scale questionnaire test before use was tested on 15 students randomly, with the results of the validity of 22 items> the value of rtabel 0.514 with a = 5% and the reliability was obtained 0.856> r table (0.514) so that it can be said to conclude that the variable is valid and reliable. The results of the t-test before and after using an android-based application with the variables of letter memorization, visual learning styles, reading skills, and reading comprehension obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 (p <0.05). Students read faster and more skilled at reading without spelling using an android-based reading application.
