Abstract

The purpose of classifying facial aging is to have a clinical method to determine the severity of the aging process in the face. This allows an estimate as to the types of procedures that the patient would need to have the best results. There are a number of methods to achieve aesthetic improvement of the face, the selection of which would depend on the facial deficit(s). The author discusses classification of facial aging as well as a simple clinical classification of the midface for easy decision making for treatment.
