Abstract

we demonstrate a novel and compact twisted-mode erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) in a linear cavity capable of exciting the intra-cavity stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in a short-length fiber. Two specially designed polarization maintaining (PM) fiber Bragg gratings (FBG) played a vital role in separating the Brillouin pump light and Stokes light.
