Abstract

The biomechanical characteristics of the technique of highly skilled weightlifters are described. The method of motion detection was high-speed video, mathematical modeling and filtering algorithms were used as methods of analysis. Differences in the microstructure of movement in successful and unsuccessful attempts are revealed. The spatio-temporal, kinematic and dynamic characteristics of the snatch are determined. The method of calculation of vertical and horizontal forces applied by a weightlifter to the bar is described.
