Abstract

The modern global world is at the threshold of a new technological revolution, which provides new trends for cardinal transformation of all spheres of society. A technological basis of such transition to a new paradigm of technological development is the Internet of Things. Like the Internet made a revolution in personal communications, the Internet of Things can change communication with the physical world, the world of things. As a matter of fact, the Internet of Things is a system that unifies computer networks and connected physical objects (things), which are controlled automatically, without human participation. The changes in all spheres of society, made by the Internet of Things-primarily, interaction between physical object and information systems with the possibility of monitoring of the environment, management, and decision making by an intellectual system-are the Fourth industrial revolution. It is based on globalization and development of information and communication technologies (ICT). Studying the Internet of Things requires determination of the systemic basis of its concept, which is based on globalization and development of the global ICT infrastructure. This article tries to solve the task of creation of a comprehensive concept of convergence of globalization, the Internet of Things, its security, and information and communication technologies, which cause connection between the elements of this system.
