Abstract

Food selectivity is a common problem among persons with autism. Often the person will eat only a few specific items, leading to very poor nutrition. Also, challenging behaviors are often associated with attempts to establish healthy eating. This chapter reviews commonly used methods and procedures to assess these feeding difficulties.
