Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: The primary objective will be to compare the effectiveness and safety of wavefront versus conventional excimer laser refractive surgery for the correction of refractive errors in adults in terms of postoperative uncorrected visual acuity, residual refractive error, and residual higher-order aberrations. The secondary objective will be to compare wavefront-guided versus wavefront-optimized refractive surgery.
