PELAKSANAAN REHABILITASI SOSIAL BAGI PENYANDANG DISABILITAS DAKSA DALAM RANGKA MENINGKATKAN AKSES ATAS PEKERJAAN

Abstract

This article aims to describe the implementation of sosial rehabilitation for people with physical disabilities carried out by the Center for Social Rehabilitation of Bina Daksa Prof. Dr. Soeharso. The sample consists of beneficiaries, facilitators, sosial workers, and employees with methods of collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. This sosial rehabilitation is in accordance with the provisions on Social Rehabilitation Standards for Persons with Disabilities which are classified into three stages, namely, rehabilitation, resosialization, distribution and follow-up. The sosial rehabilitation is classified as complete rehabilitation, where the five rehabilitation fields (medical, mental, sosial, intellectual, vocational) are carried out by one institution. The implementation of rehabilitation still has obstacles because of the lack of limited infrastructure facilities, lack offacilitators's quality and quantity, the quality of training materials, and post-sosial rehabilitation follow-up. The results of sosial rehabilitation have fulfilled part of the access to employment for physical disabled persons who are beneficiaries. However, deficiencies and constraints need to be addressed so that access to these jobs can be enjoyed by all beneficiaries, not just a small portion.
