ICT projects in rural areas of developing countries have an extremely low success ratio in terms of sustainability, especially in the field of Public Health. How to achieve sustainability in ongoing ICT interventions and prevent failure is an open issue. This work suggests a methodology for needs assessment regarding sustainability and for the design of a Sustainability Action Plan to be applied to EHAS-Napo project, an e-Health initiative in the Peruvian Amazon. The Sustainable ICT Framework has been applied in order to improve the project sustainability expectations in the medium term.
