Abstract

An initial step for predicting the customer arrival rates, reducing customer wait times, forecasting the future system loads to produce the scheduling the service facilities to keep the operation cost low. This report contains the analysis of a multiple server queue system and single server queue system for a brand new upcoming store. A national retail chain has launched its first store in Pune, India with a lot of media publicity. The manager wants to ensure that the customer-service is excellent. He wants to plan for adequate capacity in the supermarket store.
