Abstract

Reports the results of a successful experimentation of the laser cleaning technique on Early Renaissance wall paintings by Vecchietta in the Old Sacristy of S. Maria della Scala in Siena, Italy, using intermediate pulse duration Nd:YAG lasers at the fundamental wavelength (1,064 nm).
