Loving Teen Discourse: Analysis of the Romantic Love Repertoire From the Boys and Girls Program

Abstract

In this article, we're going to identify and analyse interpretive repertoires of the youngers on their speeches about love. From a social constructionist and gender perspective, we perform an analysis of the speech, in concrete of the interpretative repertoires that appear in the program Boys and Girls issued on the YouTube platform in Spain. The analysis of the used repertories by the participants of the program — youngers in ages understood between 14 and 19 years old — has allowed to identify the preference by the use of romantic love repertoire, mani - fested by the use of figures of speech and characteristic strategies, repertoire guide about suitable ways of feeling, producer and supporter of discriminatory practices that situate the sexualized feminism subordinate to the masculine, encouraging and allowing this inequality between men and women.
