Abstract

This year's ACC meeting attracted the submission of 7150 abstracts of original contributions from 54 different countries: 40% of submissions came from the US and 60% from elsewhere, headed by Japan (10.4% of total submission), Germany (9.7%) and Italy (6.3%). Of these, 2258 were selected for oral or abstract presentation. In a four-day period, over 100 symposia, oral and poster presentations were held, with 16 parallel sessions morning and afternoon. Inevitably, this report can only reflect a small proportion of the whole meeting and it therefore concentrates on the interests of the reporter.
