Abstract

What are the causes of delinquency is a very important topic in criminology. Causation is central to all theories that attempt to explain why some individuals and not others commit delinquent acts, why individuals commit crimes at some ages rather than others, and why some interventions to prevent or reduce delinquency are more effective than others. © 2008 Springer-Verlag New York.
