One of the direct causes of maternal death in Indonesia is bleeding, 50-60% of which are caused by uterine atony. In Polindes Banyubulu there were 3 (75%) mothers who gave birth experienced bleeding in the fourth stage of labor caused by uterine atony. One of the factors that influence it is parity with grandemultipara. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal parity and the incidence of uterine atony in the Banyubulu Polindes Proppo, Proppo District, Pamekasan Regency. Design This research is correlation analytic and the research design used is cross-sectional. The total population is 55 with a sampling technique using systematic sampling, the results are 48 respondents. The independent variable in this study was maternal parity, while the dependent variable was the incidence of uterine atony. Data were collected using partographs and books on Maternal and Child Health (MCH) with a statistical test of the Contingency Coefficient with an error rate of = 0.05 and df = 2. Based on cross tabulation, almost all mothers giving birth with grandemultipara experienced uterine atony, after being analyzed using a statistical test the coefficient Contingency, the results obtained are X2count (26,035) > X2table (5,991) so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between maternal parity and the incidence of uterine atony in Polindes Banyubulu, Proppo District, Pamekasan Regency. Efforts that can be made are to increase community participation in family planning programs. As well as providing basic care and providing adequate services in pregnancy and childbirth
