The Process of Internationalization, Managerial Decision Making and the Forgotten Paradigm Shift

Abstract

I firstly came across Professor Johann Engelhard, albeit not in person, in a special Issue of Management International Review {(MIR)} published in 1991. The title of the article that captured my immediate interest was {“Paradigm} Shift in International Business Research: From Partist and Eclectic Approaches to the {GAINS} Paradigm”. I read this article in my office at the Starnberger See, in 1992, if I recall correctly.
