Abstract

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) is an advanced lightweight material that is being adopted by not only for sports and aircraft use but also for automotive use. Cost reduction is the most important issue to extend its automotive use. We explain the recent development status of CFRP. The new molding, processing, and recycling methods for cost reduction are completely developed, the CFRP market will expanded.
