Abstract

The overall design of monitoring and alarming system for underground gas pipe leakage is introduced. Its block diagram is given, and the design principles of the data collector in the base station and the measuring subsystem in the field are described in detail, the design method of the system management software id presented. Each base station can be connected with 64 field measuring subsystem, and the data communication between base station and subsystems is implemented by signal carrier technology with DC power supply. The system can detect the real-time fuel gas content at the specified point in underground pipe net and transmit it to the monitor center in Natural Gas Supply Company. So the system can promote the centralized monitoring and control for urban underground gas pipe leakage. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
