Conclusions and Recommendations

Abstract

This chapter has two goals: (1) to review and synthesize the preceding papers in an evaluation of what we have learned and (2) to make a series of suggestions and recommendations based on the papers in this volume and some years of experience in the field. The focus of this section will be on strontium and oxygen. Topics for recommendations include terminology, pretreatment, measuring bioavailable, isoscapes, mixing models, databases, life history, publication, determining local, place of origin, oxygen, and carbon.
