Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of parenting pattern and the school environment to social interaction as well as its impact on the independence of learners. The research was done in quantitative approach. A sample of 147 students of State Junior High School 2 Ambarawa taken proportionate stratified random sampling. Data collection techniques used questionnaires. The data are tested and analyzed using multiple linear regression SPSS version 11. Based on the results of analysis of research data can be concluded that : 1. Parental Parenting Patterns do not positively and significantly affect Social Interaction. 2. School environment affects positively and significantly to social interaction. 3. Parents' Parenting Patterns influence positively and significantly on Independence. 4. School environment affects positively and significantly on Independence. 5. Social Interaction affects positively and significantly to Independence. 6. Social interaction does not mediate the influence of Parenting Patrons to Self-Reliance. 7. Social Interaction does not mediate the influence of the School Environment on Independence
